In paper and board production, enhancing pulp drainage capability is of paramount importance. Although retention and drainage agents improve dewatering during the gravity drainage phase, their efficacy is compromised by adverse effects on production arising from fiber flocculation.
Enzymatic treatments specifically target fine fibers in recycled pulp for hydrolysis, elevating the content of long fibers and consequently enhancing drainage performance.
Mechanism of action
Drainzyme L-Series is an engineered enzymatic blend formulated to optimize drainage efficiency in the wire section, enhance machine speed, and reduce thermal energy consumption in dryers. The product incorporates specialized surfactants and stabilizers that selectively hydrolyze fine particles, resulting in improved pulp freeness and reduced wet web moisture content. This mechanism directly translates to lower steam demand during sheet drying.

Storage
